I am an assistant professor in Computer Science Department at Boise State University. I received my Ph.D. degree from Department of Computer Science at Utah State University (USU) in 2016. I received my M.S. and B.S. from Beihang University, China in 2012 and 2009 respectively. My research interests are in the areas of mobile computing, cloud computing, and social networks.

Research Interests

My research interests are in the areas of mobile computing and privacy-preserving cloud computing, which includes: data collection in wireless sensor networks; coexistence of heterogeneous wireless mobile devices; social network privacy.

Opening Positions

Our lab has multiple Ph.D. and M.S. TA/RA openings. The successful candidates are expected to work on exciting research areas of: 1) mobile/wireless networks, 2) machine learning, 3) applied cryptography. A solid background in any one of the following will equally be a plus: 1) cloud computing, 2) game theory. If you are interested, please send your CV/resume, transcripts, GRE and TOEFL scores (if tests already taken), and any other information that you believe is helpful for your application to (yantianhou@boisestate.edu). Visiting scholars/students are also welcomed.
