Homework Guidelines
- Worth 5 points per problem. The point value will be given with the link to
the assignment. The total number of homework points will be
scaled to make 15% of the total points for the semester. Points for in-class
exercises will be included in this total.
- Late submissions will be worth 0 points. (Late is defined as after I start
grading
the assignment. In practice, that means some time between the day after it is due
and the next class period.)
- Homework assignments can be turned in in the following ways
- on paper (in class the day they are due)
- emailed to me with the assignment number in the subject and your name in
the text of the assignment.
- submitted using
submit tcole cs354 hn
where n is replaced by the assignment number.
- Acceptable formats for electronically submitted assignments are any format
that I can open with
OpenOffice. Unless otherwise specified in the assignment, the entire
assignment should be in a single document named hwn with an appropriate
extension.
- There will be a few more of these than are needed to get
100% of the points allocated for homework so you can afford to
skip a couple during the semester.
- Your submission should be legible and comprehensible. If I can't read it
or I can't understand it, your score will suffer.
